Have you heard about the Milan Design Week, better known as Salone del Mobile.Milano? It’s an event week in Milan which starts from 17 April and ends on the 22 April 2018. It’s the leading international design and furnishing event where are more than 300,000 visitors are expected from all over the world. It will be held at the Rho Fairgrounds in Milan.
The 2018 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano fair is composed by different exhibitions spread over the various pavilions in Rho Fiera Milano:
–International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, split into the following style categories: Classic: Tradition in the Future, which draws on the values of tradition, craftsmanship and skill in the art of making furniture and objects in the classic style; Design, products that speak of functionality, innovation and boast a great sense of style and xLux, the section devoted to timeless luxury re-read in a contemporary key.
–EuroCucina (International Biennial Kitchen Exhibition) and FTK (Technology for the Kitchen) introducing the latest innovation in kitchen furnishing, homeware and cooking devices, spread over 5 pavilions.
– International Bathroom Exhibition boasting the best of bathroom furniture, shower and sauna stalls, taps, jacuzzis and tiles.
–SaloneSatellite, dedicated to young, emerging designers under 35 and serves as a launch pad into the world of design.
–Workplace 3.0, an innovative display area dedicated to design and new technologies to re-design the different workplaces.
This year’s edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano features an exhibition by artist and architect Giancarlo Prandelli and Art Gallery Galleria Pisacane featuring studies over Leonardo da Vinci’s production. There will be also an unique of programm of exhibitions, special openings, DJ sets, cocktail parties as well as site-specific installations and projects that make up the Fuorisalone event.
